The Team

Andy
Andy keeps our office and kitchens running nice and smoothly. This might sound straightforward enough, but when there’s a sudden ricotta cheese drought and the crayfish order is late, Andy’s impeccable multitasking skills really shine. If you call us, chances are you’ll speak to Andy.

Pete
Pete’s job is to keep our customers happy. If you’re a deli owner who wants to sell our food, a stressed housewife who wants us to solve her dinner party blues or a quayside accountant who thinks there should be more pears in the Calvados jus, get in touch with Pete and he’ll make your dreams come true.

Richard
Richard is our executive chef. He learnt his trade at Le Meridien Piccadilly with Marco Pierre White in London went on to open his own restaurant in Alnwick. Since winning Buzz Chef of the Year in 2002, he has headed back to the city and worked in several of Newcastle’s finest restaurants. Richard's culinary passion and knowledge are what keep our food tasting so great. Richard is also the executive chef at The Alnwick Garden.

Ian
Ian has worn many hats in his time; farmer, civil servant, entrepreneur and Trilby to name a few. His extensive knowledge of the local food industry and wealth of contacts help us to run Fresh Element in an ethical and enviromentally friendly manner. Ian also runs Lee Moor Farm.

Jonathan
Once things started to get a bit hectic in the kitchen, we gave Johnny a call. An talented young chef with a great eye for presentation, Johnny has worked at some of the region's most prestigious restaurants and hotels. Since joining Fresh Element in February 2005, Johnny has progressed fantastically well and now manages all aspects of the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Caroline
The latest member of the Fresh Element team, Caroline is an experienced businesswoman and runs a succesful networking organisation, The Bridge Club. Caroline's wealth of useful contacts and business acumen come in extremely useful!
